  • Saturday's Global Citizen Festival, held for more than 60,000 people on a sunny day in Central Park, gathered a mind-boggling roster of musicians, activists, world leaders, actors, CEOs, innovators and celebrity babies (Suri Cruise!) to spread the message "ours is not a generation of bystanders," as Mark Zuckerberg put it in a video.

It was so irritating seeing Beyonce attempting to make the festival about her. She tried to belittle the whole theme/how selfish.

I was at the festival and I wish organizers walked the walk. A lot of plastic being used for food and drinks. They need to see how Austin City Limits Festival does it to reduce waste as much as possible for a festival. Way too many speakers. I felt as though I was attending a PBS telethon in person.
